PITTS WILSON ELECTRICAL LTD was formed in 2002 by the merging of two well established Bradford based Electrical Contractors being Pitts Electrical Ltd and W.D Wilson Ltd.
Pitts Wilson Electrical Ltd continually Design Supply Install and Maintain the electrical services installations on a number of, Retail, Commercial, Industrial, Liesure and Educational projects Due to a controlled expansion within the Design Department, an exciting opportunity has arisen for the following Vacancy:-
ELECTRICAL DESIGN ENGINEER
Reports to — Technical Director
Location — Pitts Wilson Electrical Ltd, Cutler House, Wakefield Road, Bradford, BD4 7LU
Objective — To be able to produce and develop a fully detailed Electrical Building Services Design
Responsibilities
- Meeting clients and architects to advise and develop the Electrical Design
- Must be able to produce fully detailed electrical designs including but not limited to the following.
- Mains & Sub mains
- Lighting & Emergency Lighting
- External Lighting
- Small Power
- Fire Alarm
- Telephone & Data
- Control Wiring Schematics
- Be capable of using C.A.D to produce the final design drawings
- Be responsible for the drawing management for their own projects
- Be able to produce a fully detailed operating and maintenance manual
- Be capable of producing a commercially aware design from a clients design brief.
- Be able to liase with the installations department to ensure that the project is installed to the design drawings. This may involve site visits to ensure that this responsibility is met.
- Liase with all relevant internal departments as necessary.
Qualifications / Experience
- Must have at least 3 years experience as a fully qualified Design Engineer
- Must have worked in a commercial environment.
- Preferably having had some Retail Design experience.
- Must be confident in using computer aided design software
- Must be confident in producing and detailing of full electrical design drawings.
- Must be fully converse with the latest editions of BS7671, BS5839, and BS5266.
