Geoff Mountain

Geoff Mountain

Chairman

Geoff can best be described as a Business Entrepreneur and has been the driving force and owner of the Pitts family company for the last 30 years. Originally trained in Optics he progressed into “stress measurements” and electronics developing some of the world’s leading technology in the field of on board weighing. PM On Board from inception in 1986 floated on the Stock Exchange in 2002 and was sold in 2008 to an American multinational company. Throughout this time he remained Chairman / owner of Pitts Wilson Electrical and over the years has directed and contributed to the success that the company enjoys today. In 2011 Geoff oversaw the Management buyout of Pitts Wilson to his senior team whilst still retaining a shareholding and the position of company Chairman among his many other business interests. Outside of work he develops his farming interests and enjoys spending time with his family and social circle of friends.
Mark Flude

Mark Flude

Managing Director

Mark joined the Pitts family company in 1990 after progressing from apprentice electrician to projects engineer with the Yorkshire Electricity Board. Rising from contracts engineer, contracts manager, contracts director he was appointed managing director of W D Wilson & Son in 1997. Following the merger of Pitts Electrical & W D Wilson he was appointed managing director of Pitts Wilson Electrical in 2010. Mark is an experienced business manager and professionally qualified electrical engineer with 36 years’ experience in the industry, 16 of those at director level. Outside of work he enjoys a round of golf, travelling the world and spending time with friends and family.
David Hooley

Director

David’s career started out in 1976 as an apprentice electrician at age 17 and steadily worked his way up to site foreman. After 10 years, he joined an electrical contractor in Leeds as a trainee estimator, he then moved to a larger contractor where his career went from strength to strength and he acquired estimating, engineering and sales skills. After joining WD Wilson and Son in 1997 as Sales Director, David joined Pitts Wilson where his role has developed to encompass the entire sales and estimating function for the company. David has a passion for golf and is currently captain of Headingley Golf Club. He leads an active and varied social life.
Bill Hardie

Bill Hardie

Director

Bill trained and qualified as a Chartered Accountant with a Big Four firm, spending the majority of his time there auditing Limited Companies and Plc’s in a number of different industries. After qualifying in 1988, he joined Tay Homes as Financial Accountant and progressed to Group Financial Controller. Always having a keen eye for detail, Bill was Financial Controller of a number of other construction based companies prior to moving to Pitts Wilson in 2008 and is now in charge of the finance and IT function. Bill is a keen sportsman and enjoys playing 5-a side football and tennis. He and his family are also season ticket holders at his local football club.
Chris Hepworth

Contracts Manager

Chris has 32 years experience in the electrical contracting industry having joined David Pitts & Holt in 1982 as an apprentice electrician aged 16. Following completion of his apprenticeship he then moved on and worked for a number of local contractors returning in 1999 as a Site Supervisor. Chris progressed to Contracts Engineer in 2002 and was appointed Contracts Manager in 2006. Outside work Chris enjoys playing Golf and Table Tennis and holds a season ticket for the local football club.
Andy Lockett

Andy Lockett

Support Services Manager

Andy started his career at 16 with David Pitts & Holt in 1978, completing a successful city & guilds apprenticeship. He left the company and trained with two leading national electrical wholesalers as a buyer, eventually becoming Purchasing Supervisor. Re-joining the company in 1992 as an engineer in the support services department, Andy has furthered his career achieving a variety of industry recognised certificates including a NEBOSH general certificate in Health & Safety and IEE industry upgrades.
He is currently our Support Services Manager responsible for our team of nationally based field engineers.
Outside work he enjoys gardening, DIY, and has completed several half marathons raising money for a number of charities.
