Pitts Wilson Raise £700

Pitts Wilson raised a sparkling £700 when they took part in Bradford Hospitals’ Charity Christmas fundraising campaign.

The ’Spread some sparkle for Axl’ campaign ran this Christmas to raise money for toys and play equipment for children receiving treatment in Bradford hospitals throughout the year.

The campaign was held in memory of Axl Walker, who was a regular patient at Bradford Royal Infirmary until he sadly died in March this year.

So far, almost £4,000 has been raised to make life a little bit easier for children and young people in hospital and help distract them from treatment.

The money raised by Pitts Wilson was donated by staff who wore something sparkly on Friday 14 December. They also donated money from previous fundraising events throughout the year.

Christmas is a time when we all should be with our loved ones and sadly for some children this Christmas will be spent in hospital, here at Pitts Wilson we wanted to support local families and bring Sparkle to their Christmas by supporting the Bradford Hospitals Charity and with the Sparkle for Axl campaign

Hayley Collis, head of fundraising for Bradford Hospitals’ Charity, said: “ As a local, Bradford charity, we rely on the support of Bradford businesses, so we are incredibly grateful for this kind gift. Thank you to all the staff at Pitts Wilson – your generous donations will help many of our young patients in Bradford Royal Infirmary, St Luke’s Hospital and those receiving treatment in the community.”
